COABC Research Fund

The COABC has developed a research fund for organic research in BC.  It is small fund, grown by allocating 10% of membership fees (to the research fund) every year.  Applications will be accepted once every year—in 2008 the deadline for applications is October 31.  Please use the application form below.  This is a fillable form that can be completed electronically (click here to download) and submitted via email to the COABC office: office(a)certifiedorganic.bc.ca

Criteria for applications:

1. The COABC is looking for project proposals that offer relevant solutions to practical problems in organic production – projects results should have broad application to organic farmers in BC
2. The COABC contribution to projects is typically $5,000 or less, but the COABC will consider a larger contribution
3. There is no requirement for matching funds, but preference will be given to projects that match COABC Research Funds with the Organic Sector Development Program  or some other fund.
