The COABC is a non-profit organization overseeing certification of organic food production in BC.

"Organic production is based on principles that support healthy practices. These principles aim to increase the quality and the durability of the environment through specific management and production methods. They also focus on ensuring the humane treatment of animals."

The COABC is committed to promoting the importance of organic agriculture which helps ensure the long-term health and vitality of our region. The COABC seeks to educate farmers transitioning to organic production; advocate for organic consumption; provide current research and vital information for consumers, producers, stakeholders and the media; and interface with federal and provincial governments, and various organic sector stakeholders.

The COABC is supported through certification fees, our generous sponsors and donations from our loyal supporters.
